Porcelain
Veneers
Porcelain veneers
may be just the esthetic solution for you to achieve the perfect
white smile you desire. Veneering a tooth means to cover its facial,
or front, surface. A fine layer of porcelain is bonded to the tooth
to dramatically enhance its position, size, color and shape. Porcelain
veneers are as strong as your own teeth and can be employed to eliminate
spaces between teeth and reshape small, worn or otherwise imperfect
teeth. Veneers can also be use to cover stained or discolored teeth
such as those caused by tetracycline. Let Dr. Frey give you the
perfect white smile you deserve in the span of one or two office
visits.
Porcelain
Fillings
Old, unsightly
mercury fillings are removed and replaced with porcelain ones. The
porcelain holds the tooth structure together, strengthening the
teeth. Mercury fillings often crack and break teeth because they are
not bonded to them. Porcelain fillings are also used in lieu of
destructive crowns because they keep the natural shape and form of
the tooth. Patients are often not given the option of having
porcelain fillings instead of crowns, and unlike the fillings,
crowns require the tooth structure to be drilled down to a stub.
Porcelain fillings offer patients metal-free dentistry, which allows
light to flow through and reflect off the teeth, leaving a more
natural smile.
Laser
Treatment
Utilizing
Diode and Argon lasers Dr. David S. Frey can make any cosmetic
procedure easy and effortless. Diode lasers change the shape of
teeth by modifying the gum-line. Through this procedure smaller
teeth can appear larger, and larger teeth can look more in
proportion with others. The Argon lasers are used for bonding and
whitening. They provide a higher bond strength when placing
porcelain veneers on the teeth. In just a few seconds these lasers
transform a person's smile.
Dental
Bonding
Dental bonding
involves techniques where special tooth colored dental resins and
composites are used to change the shape and color of teeth as well
as to close unattractive spaces. Using bonding material that matches
your own tooth color, Dr. Frey reshapes and restores chipped or
broken teeth and covers stained or discolored teeth. Unlike crowns
or caps, direct bonding requires only a minimal amount of tooth
reduction making it a very conservative procedure. The procedure
usually requires only one visit and it is not painful. Because the
bonding material is matches the color of your own teeth, you may
wish to consider having Dr. Frey whiten your teeth prior to having
the dental bonding procedure performed. Be confident that dental
bonding will create a spectacular new smile for you that is very
natural in appearance.
